SC Bern defender Noreau has agreed to a two-year contract with the Lions, valid until the end of the 2019-20 season. Noreau already told the Berner Zeitung in mid-January that he would likely leave the Bears if they were to start the season with five import players again. The same newspaper reported two weeks later that the defenseman was expected to leave SC Bern.

Kevin Klein, for his part, will end his professional hockey career after the end of the 2017-18 season. The Canadian defender, who appeared in 700 NHL games throughout his career, has recorded ten goals and twelve assists in 44 games for the Lions this season.
