The 24yr-old defender had a tough Lockout-season with the Montréal Canadiens with only 6 games played (2 assists). As they did not want to resign him, he has now found a new team on the free market: the Vancouver Canucks.

According to RDS' Renaud Lavoie, Weber had several offers on the table but decided to sign with the Canucks because he thought he would fit well into that team. His new coach in Vancouver will be John Tortorella.
