The 25-year-old winger is suffering from a major shoulder injury (acromioclavicular disjunction) and has to undergo surgery, which will probably keep him out of the lineup for the remainder of the season. The club from La Chaux-de-Fonds is therefore screening the market and might announce the signing of another foreigner in the course of next week.
In addition, HCC's backup netminder Léo Chuard, who has appeared in five games for them this season so far (.897 save percentage), is expected be out for quite some time. The 19-year-old sustained a major injury in a game with Genève-Servette HC's Elite A youth team, the same source reports.
