Mathias Bromé, who is currently part of the Detroit Red Wings' organization, has signed a two-year contract with HC Davos.

HC Davos has acquired Swede Mathias Bromé.

The 26-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Red Wings last year, his first outside of Sweden. After only one season, he has decided to return to Europe and join HC Davos. His new deal with HCD will keep him there at least until the end of the 2022-23 season.

"Bromé is a worker with a good hockeysense," HCD's team manager Jan Alston says about his new acquisition. "He can assert himself on the ice with his good skating and puckhandling skills and makes his team mates better." As Alston tells the Südostschweiz, they are now looking for a fourth import-player, a center.

Before heading over to Detroit, Mathias Bromé has started the season on loan with the SHL's Örebro HK. There, he appeared in 23 games and recorded 20 points (four goals). With the Red Wings he has played 26 games (one goal, one assist).
