Nothing and no-one seems to be able to stop the Dragons right now. Not in the National League, not in the Champions Hockey League. With 38 points out of 16 games, HC Fribourg-Gottéron is the undisputed leader in the National League; in the group stage of the CHL, they won six out of six games.

Last night's victory at home against SC Bern was their tenth in a row in the National League. Never before in their history, the Dragons accomplished such a winning streak, the news agency Keystone-SDA writes. They thus joined HC Ambrì-Piotta who won ten times in a row back in the 1998-99 season.

"It's wonderful to write history in this way," captain Julien Sprunger told La Liberté after the hard-fought game against SC Bern. "We win the derby against Bern, the first one in a full house. We needed this kind of game to make sure that everyone remembers it."
