Peter Mettler joins HC Davos
Marcel Kull, who held the position before him, will now focus on the training of the goaltenders in their junior system. Mettler was Kull's "dream candidate" for the position: "Now that Peter Mettler has been hired as my dream candidate for goalie trainer for the first team, we are able to better train all HCD goalies, both off-ice and on-ice, in close cooperation between the first team and the young talent."
Mettler has been working as a goaltending coach since 2011. As of 2017, he joined the Swiss national team and has been responsible for the goaltenders of the U20 team and the men's team ever since. He will keep working for the men's senior national team, at least until and including the home World Championship 2020.
