According to the news agency Keystone-SDA, Lausanne HC has signed him to a one-month contract. The 31-year-old forward has not yet played this season as he is currently without a team.

Until 2014, Max Wärn spent his entire professional career in Finland. He then played three seasons in the KHL and one season in the SHL before returning to Finland in mid-October 2018. In 25 games for Jokerit Helsinki, he recorded four goals.
