With the forward's contract running out after this season, team and player have started discussing a possible extension.

20 Minuten writes that, according to ZSC Lions team manager Sven Leuenberger, there has been a good discussion about Wick's future with the team and more conversations will follow. He also mentions that they have a common denominator. The 33-year-old forward himself states that he does not want to talk about it at the moment.

Wick is currently in his eighth season with the Lions. With them, he has won the Swiss championship twice and the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup once. So far this term, the forward has recorded two goals and four assists in eleven games.
