After a long absence due to a kidney transplant, Jeff Tomlinson will see how his body responds to the workload of a game.

Jeff Tomlinson - will he make it through the game?

"I will return to the bench", Jeff Tomlinson tells the Blick. The head coach of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers will at least give it a try for tonight's Swiss Ice Hockey Cup game between his team and EV Zug.

"It is a test. We will see if my pulse and blood pressure skyrocket again immediately, how my body responds to stress", the 49-year-old states. He is confident that his body will be able to handle the load and he will not have to withdraw from the game.

Tomlinson is still not cleared to actually be on the ice and lead practice sessions, but another meeting with the doctors is scheduled, so he might be allowed to fully participate again soon.
