"I would like to play one more season in Fribourg but I have not yet spoken to the club's leadership, as [Christian] Dubé currently has other things on his mind," Vauclair tells Ticinonline in an interview. "The alternative is to move to Ajoie, where I was born. I got really excited when I saw the Cup final two days ago. Who knows...".

The 34-year-old forward, who is a product of HC Ajoie, made his debut in Switzerland's highest league with HC Lugano in 2005-06. After five straight seasons for the Bianconeri, he then moved on to HC Fribourg-Gottéron, for which he has been playing ever since except one year in Martigny.

This season so far, Tristan Vauclair has appeared in 34 games for the Dragons, recording one goal and two assists, while posting a minus-1 rating.
