Tomi Karhunen stays with SC Bern
SC Bern

Tomi Karhunen joined SC Bern at the end of November, coming from the Lahti Pelicans in the Finnish Liiga. As SCB writes in a press release, Karhunens "professional attitude and his equally strong and consistent performance" have convinced them to sign him to an early contract extension, which is valid until spring 2021.

With a save percentage of .925, Tomi Karhunen is currently the second-best goaltender in the National League. Only Lausanne HC's Tobias Stephan (.926) is better. In 22 games for SC Bern so far, Karhunen conceded a total of 51 goals, which is an average of 2.28 per game.
