The SCL Tigers could not turn a profit this past season and are looking at a bleak future.

"Sometimes, I think everything is going down the drain. Really everything," SCL Tigers president Peter Jakob told Der Bund. Though the club did not lose too much money this season, their loss next year could exceed four million francs, especially if only few spectators are allowed next season.

The Tigers will have only 2,100 seats to fill if the 50% capacity rule is enforced. The average attendance in Langnau was 5,700 last year. Jakob is worried that some of the 4,000 season ticket holders might demand a refund since they do not get what was advertised to them.

These numbers make it highly unlikely that the Tigers could afford a third import player, even if they didn't have a hiring freeze.
