Knak was drafted by the Portland Winterhawks from North America's Western Hockey League (WHL) and is projected to play for the team this year. However, as the start of the 2020-21 season has been delayed from September 21th to December 4th, the right winger was forced to look for an interim solution and finally found it in Davos.

Last season, Knak managed to put up nine goals and 25 assists for a total of 34 points in 49 games for the Portland Winterhawks.
