The ZSC Lions have announced a bunch of contract extensions and a first professional deal for a player from their organization. They also mention that Tim Berni is set to return overseas after the end of the season and Severin Blindenbacher will likely hang up his skates.
Defenseman Dario Trutmann will stay with the Lions until 2024. Forwards Dominik Diem and Garrett Roe have both been extended until 2023. Fellow forwards Marcus Krüger and Reto Schäppi will be part of the team until at least 2022.
22-year-old Willy Riedi has earned himself his first professional contract. Having mostly suited up for the GCK Lions over the last three seasons, the forward has recently also played in the National League. "Willy Riedi has drawn attention to himself step by step in the Swiss League and deserves this chance. With his physicality, he will hopefully develop into a power winger with us", as team manager Sven Leuenberger states.
