Klaus Zaugg (Watson) already reported on Monday that the presidents would hold a video call on Thursday in order to discuss the current situation of the league.

In the statement they released today, they ask the Federal Council and the parliament to quickly act on the proposed solutions submitted by the NL teams in regard to the "à-fonds-perdu"-subsidies. As they state, the requirements in terms of salary reduction are so high that "probably not a single team will be able to fully meet them."

They also discussed the league reform. In their eyes, the cornerstone of the reform is the so-called "Financial Fair-Play System". The details of that new salary system are currently being discussed and "will be put into the framework of the definitive contracts of the new National Hockey League AG."
