While the Swiss forward moves back to the WHL, the Finnish defenseman joins from the KHL's Dinamo Riga.

A Finnish defenseman for Davos

With the WHL's US-Division starting its season in March, Simon Knak will leave HC Davos and return to the Portland Winterhawks. The forward made 24 games on loan in the National League, recording three goals and four assists. His 25th game coming Friday will likely be his last as a member of Davos.

The club from the canton of Grisons has also decided to reinforce their defense and signed Tony Sund for the remainder of the season. 25-year-old Sund has been a member of the KHL's last-placed Dinamo Riga since last summer. Other than his stint with Dinamo, he has only ever played in his native country, Finland. He will arrive in Switzerland this Sunday.
