As team manager Marc Eichmann reveals to the Berner Zeitung, the 29-year-old Swede is an option for the Tigers.

As reported by the newspaper, Jesper Olofsson's expiring contract with SC Bern should not be extended but the Swedish forward has come to like the region. For this reason, a move to the Emmental might represent a good option for both sides, as Eichmann confirms: "He fits perfectly with us". However, the team manager of the SCL Tigers also adds that they are monitoring how Olofsson recovers from the concussion he sustained during the playoffs.

Two weeks ago, the Malmö Redhawks of the SHL also confirmed that they were interested in Olofsson: "A good player who we know can score goals. Clearly interesting. A name we have discussed" commented team manager Patrik Sylvegård at that time.

Olofsson ended his first season outside Scandinavia with 13 goals and 15 assists in 38 championship games for the Bears, to which he added three points in two games of the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup, contributing to the final victory in the tournament.
