In interviews with the Bieler Tagblatt and the Journal du Jura, the Seelanders' team manager talks about Antti Törmänen's return.

According to the Bieler Tagblatt, Antti Törmänen has signed a new one-year deal with EHC Biel. If he will already be there when the Seelanders start into their summer practice on May 10 is, however, not yet sure.

"Yes, of course it's a risk," team manager Martin Steinegger says to the Journal du Jura when asked about the illness, the 53-year-old head coach has only recovered from. But they do not want to put a stigma on the 50-year-old head coach: "After all, just because someone's had cancer doesn't mean we shouldn't work with him anymore!"

Steinegger also reveals that it has not been an easy decision for him: "I didn't sleep very well," he admits. The reason: his friendship with current head coach Lars Leuenberger. "I have been around Lars for many years (...). We know each other well, we have a good relationship." In the end, it has not been a decision against Leuenberger, but one for Törmänen.
