National League

The club confirmed the arrivals of Dominic Lammer and Sandro Zangger and announced some other signings and departures.

The Lakers will have some different players coming season

Both Dominic Lammer and Sandro Zangger join the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers from HC Lugano. The former has been signed to a two-year deal, the latter is with the team on a try-out basis.

The Lakers also signed two defensemen. David Aebischer (for three years) joins from HC Fribourg-Gottéron. During the latter parts of the season, the 20-year-old mainly suited up for HC Ajoie and won the Swiss League title with them. Alain Bircher (one year plus option) joins them from the SCL Tigers. He was also engaged in the Swiss League (SC Langenthal) for parts of last season.

Forward Sandro Forrer, a member of Rapperswil-Jona since 2019, will add another season (plus option) with the club.

Jonas Taibel (16) and Robin Ramsauer (18) have both been added to the extended roster of the Lakers. The former already made one National League game, the latter has experience in the MySports League.

There are not only additions but also departures. Besides the already known ones - Domink Egli (HC Davos), Michael Loosli (SCL Tigers), Kevin Clark, Julian Payr and head coach Jeff Tomlinson -, several more players will not be around next season. Mauro Dufner joins Fribourg-Gottéron for two years, Lukas Lhotak is off to EHC Olten (one year-deal) and assistant Niklas Gällstedt will move to EV Zug. Flurin Randegger, Kay Schweri, Martin Ness, Frantisek Rehak and Daniel Vukovic will all also not part of the squad anymore.
