The 30-year-old defenseman has signed a three-year extension that will keep him in Bern until 2025.

Just a few weeks before the start of his seventh consecutive championship with SC Bern, Ramon Untersander has already signed a contract that will bind him to the Bears for three more seasons. Untersander has already won three championships with SC Bern and participated in three IIHF World Championships with Switzerland.

SC Bern's Team manager Andrew Ebbett sees Untersander as a key element for their present and their future: "The contract extension with Ramon Untersander is a strong sign for us that we want to return to the top. Untersander is one of our core players, a leader, and he is one of the best defensemen nationally."

In the last two years, after returning from an injury that kept him out for almost the entire 2018-19 season, Untersander appeared in 98 championships games for the Bears, collecting 47 points.
