Gianluca Barbei was able to convince HC Ambrì-Piotta's staff of his skills during the National League team's training camp. The forward, who is a product of the ZSC Lions' organization, has been playing for EV Zug's organization for the past four seasons.
Last season (his first full season in the Swiss League), he recorded four goals and five assists in 41 games.
