Viktor Östlund will partner up with Tim Wolf to defend the cage of the newly promoted team. The Swedish goalie holds a Swiss player's license and had been practicing with HC Ajoie for some weeks. The goaltender joins his new club on a loan from Lausanne HC until the end of the 2021-22 season.
In the last two seasons, Östlund was under contract with HC Ambrì-Piotta but mainly spent his time in the Swiss League with the HCB Ticino Rockets. In May, Östlund signed his contract with the Lions.
