Until the end of the season, Yannick Herren will thus play for HC Lugano. The 30-year-old forward, however, remains under contract with HC Fribourg-Gottéron until 2023. 24-year-old Timo Haussener will go the other way and suit up for the Dragons for the remainder of the season.
Gottéron calls this move a "satisfactory solution for Yannick Herren and for all parties involved." For quite some time now, Fribourg's head coach Christian Dubé did no longer count on Herren and wanted to get rid of him - but only in exchange for another forward. Mission accomplished.
