Only having played in the AHL so far this season, the forward is anticipated to be headed to his home country coming summer.

Currently a freshly called-up member of the Vegas Golden Knights' roster, Sven Bärtschi has only suited up in the AHL so far this season. This leads team managers in Switzerland to believe that he will return home in summer, as Watson's Klaus Zaugg writes.

If that were the case, his future team appears to already be decided - SC Bern. "For us, he is no longer an option", the team manager of another club states. "We have been told that if he returns, he will settle in his hometown of Langenthal and play for the SCB. There would already be a commitment."

29-year-old Bärtschi has never played in the highest league in Switzerland. He did make 46 games for SC Langenthal in the Swiss League between 2008 and 2010 before leaving for North America and the WHL.
