The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have signed Emil Djuse to an early contract extension until 2024. The 28-year-old defenseman joined them on a two-year deal from the KHL last summer. In 55 games this season, the Swede recorded seven goals and 24 assists.

Besides the already known departures of Marco Lehmann to SC Bern (announced by his new club in December) and Igor Jelovac to Lausanne HC (confirmed by the player last week), the Lakers also announced the departures of three of their import players.

Steve Moses (was a member for two years), Zack Mitchell (since last summer) and Kalle Kossila (since March) will all not be around anymore next season.

As the Südostschweiz already reported last week, Noël Bader has decided to put an end to his professional hockey career. The 26-year-old netminder was with the Lakers for four seasons.

The contract with Simon Marha has been dissolved by mutual consent and the youngster will return to Czechia.
