According to TVA Sports, the 20-year-old forward has a clause in his contract that allows him to stay overseas in case he gets drafted.

In case Théo Rochette will be picked by a team at the NHL Entry Draft in July, he is going to do whatever his new team wants him to do, TVA Sports reports: play in the AHL, play another season with the Québec Remparts in the QMJHL, or play in Switzerland with Lausanne HC.

On Tuesday, LHC announced that Rochette has signed a two-year contract with them. For the past four seasons, the young forward has played in the Canadian junior league QMJHL. In 214 games there, he recorded 77 goals and 140 assists.
