Asked by the newspaper how he judges the performance of his head coach Rikard Grönborg and if the Swede does have a future in Zurich, Sven Leuenberger says: "As of today, I expect that Grönborg will be behind our boards next season." Grönborg's contract with the Lions is valid until 2023.
Whether his top scorer Denis Malgin is going to stay or if he will take another shot at the NHL, Leuenberger does not know yet: "You'll have to ask him that. First, he would have to have an offer from the NHL."
Moreover, Leuenberger states that the Lions are going to add three or four new import-players: "We still have to discuss whether we'll start with five or six foreigners." Only Garrett Roe and Justin Azevedo have valid contracts for the next season.
The Lions' team manager confirms that one of his new imports will "pretty sure" be a goaltender. Asked about the reports that they have already signed forwards Lucas Wallmark () and Markus Granlund (), Leuenberger stalls for now and says that he will comment on that "in due course".
