Brought up as a possibility by Russian newspaper Sport-Express just recently, HC Davos has confirmed the addition of Klas Dahlbeck. The defenseman, who still had a year left on his contract with CSKA Moskva, joins Davos for the coming two seasons.

The 30-year-old won the Gagarin Cup with his now-former team just a few days ago. He was with them since 2018. Prior to the KHL, he was engaged overseas for six seasons, making appearances in both NHL (170 games) and AHL (208 games). Before that, he was playing in his home country, Sweden.

"Klas Dahlbeck is a defensively conscientious all-rounder who will give our defense a lot of security with his size and strength, but also his game intelligence and good positional play. In addition, with Klas we get a two-time KHL champion, who also brings a lot of experience and leadership off the ice to Davos", team manager Jan Alston states.

With the addition of Dahlbeck, Davos now has five imports signed for the coming season - Magnus Nygren, Dennis Rasmussen, Mathias Bromé and Matěj Stránský. Four of them are Swedish.
