Earlier today, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers announced the signings of Nicklas Jensen and Jordan Schroeder - former teammates of O'Neill. The 33-year-old will now also play in Switzerland for the next two seasons.
The forward has been playing for Jokerit Helsinki for the past six seasons. The American, who was part of the US team for the Beijing Olympics, recorded nine goals and 33 assists in 41 games for the now-former KHL team last season.
