After Kilian Zündel, Valentin Hofer, and William Hedlund, HC Ambrì-Piotta adds another youngster to their roster. Lionel Marchand's contract contains an option for a third season, as is the case for the contracts of the three aforementioned acquisitions.
With the exception of the 2020-21 season, when Marchand played in Sweden on loan to Timrå IK, he has always played in the organization of the Lions. This season, he scored 14 goals and collected 13 assists in 51 games in the Swiss League. Marchand also debuted in the National League, wearing five times the jersey of the ZSC Lions. Moreover, he has also been regularly selected in the junior squads of the Swiss national team.
