After one season overseas, the 23-year-old defenseman is back with EV Zug for the next three years.

"Tobi has consistently developed over the last few years and has grown into a solid defenseman," EV Zug's team manager Reto Kläy says. "We are very happy about his return to Zug". As he tells the Luzerner Zeitung, EVZ's transfer activities are now complete.

Tobias Geisser was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Last summer, he went overseas, but has only played for the Capitals' AHL-affiliate, the Hershey Bears. He appeared in a total of 71 games for them, in which he recorded 14 points (three goals).

That Geisser is coming home is no surprise. Already about a month ago, first reports indicated that the young defender might return to Zug. His entry-level contract with the Capitals' organization has expired in spring.
