While Genève-Servette HC's team manager Marc Gautschi already confirmed almost three weeks ago that they have been in contact with Teemu Hartikainen, there is no confirmation of the done deal yet. According to Blick, also Lausanne HC, the ZSC Lions and HC Fribourg-Gottéron were interested in the 32-year-old Finnish forward.

If the report is accurate, Hartikainen is going to be GSHC's sixth import-player for the upcoming season besides Henrik Tömmernes ((SWE)), Daniel Winnik ((CAN)), Linus Omark ((SWE)), and his Finnish compatriots Sami Vatanen and Valtteri Filppula.

Teemu Hartikainen, who won gold at this year's Olympics and the World Championship with Finland, played for Salavat Yulaev Ufa for the past nine seasons. Last season, he recorded 13 goals and twelve assists in 42 games for the KHL team.
