According to Blick, EHC Kloten has signed Juha Metsola to a contract extension. Marco Maffioletti (HeShootsHeScoores, MySports) also reported last week that the Finn would sign a new deal with Kloten.
Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat had already reported at the end of December that the Finn had decided to stay in Switzerland. The deal seems now done.
Blick further reports that the National League team is also very interested in Genève-Servette HC's Deniss Smirnovs. The 23-year-old forward, who is a product of the Grenats, will also be at the end of his contract come spring. This season, he has recorded two goals and three assists.
