Due to injuries and the imminent end of Nando Eggenberger's loan from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, HC Ambrì-Piotta has decided to sign Thomas Rüfenacht. The 37-year-old will be on a try-out with them for a week, which, if successful, might turn into a contract until the end of the season.
Rüfenacht last played for SC Bern, from 2014 until 2022. Over the summer, he was on try-outs with both EHC Olten and HC Lugano but was unable to land a roster spot.
