Kläy, the EVZ Academy's team manager, is looking for a replacement for Jason O'Leary with a clear requirement profile in mind.

The EVZ Academy will be a younger team next season.

In the EV Zug's newsletter, Reto Kläy reveals that so far he has not found a replacement for O'Leary, who reportedly will coach the Iserlohn Roosters (DEL) next season. Kläy wants someone with the same qualities as the former head coach: "He must be an excellent trainer, especially since he would be the Head of Development at Swiss League, Elite A, and Novice Elite level."

Regardless of who the next coach will be, Janick Steinmann will continue to serve as the assistant coach for the next season. Steinmann has been covering this role since the 2017-18 season.

Talking about the roster for the next season, Kläy remarks that the team will be significantly rejuvenated as older players like Sandro Aeschlimann (HC Davos) and Victor Oejdemark (Lausanne HC) will leave the farm team at the end of the season and be replaced by younger players.
