Cavalleri mostly played junior hockey in Canada before joining EV Zug's organization in 2018. However, because he did not receive another contract from the organization this summer, he started the season with Granby Inouk from the Quebec Junior Hockey League.

During his tryout time with the HCB Ticino Rockets in the past four weeks, the 20-year-old left winger appeared in a total of nine Championship games and managed to put up one goal and two assists.

In addition, the Swiss League club has signed Swedish goalie Viktor Östlund to a short-term contract until the end of December including an option of extension for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old netminder is in possession of a Swiss players' license.

Östlund, who was signed to a temporary contract by HC Ambrí-Piotta's roster in order to alleviate the injury-related absences of Benjamin Conz, has already played in six games with the Rockets since season start, posting a .899 save percentage.
