In the seventh minute of Saturday's game between the EVZ Academy and HC Sierre, Luca Capaul checked Thomas Heinimann into the boards. As a consequence, the league has provisionally suspended the defenseman for one game and opened an investigation into the incident.
Luca Capaul has appeared in 23 games with the Academy this season, in which he recorded a total of seven points (three goals).
