The 37-year-old defenseman has signed an extension valid until the end of the 2020-21 season.

René Back will be back for another season.

The leader of the Swiss League standings, EHC Kloten, will have René Back in their roster for a seventh consecutive season. Arrived in 2014 from Davos, Back remained with Kloten even after the relegation from the National League in 2018.

"With René we have a great role model for our younger players. Thanks to his good performances this season and his perfect fitness, René has more than earned the extension. I am sure he will be a valuable player for EHC Kloten next season as well", team manager Felix Hollenstein comments the contract extension.
