After he did not extend his contract in Rapperswil, the 32-year-old forward has found a new home in Kloten.

Juraj Simek will play in the Swiss League next season.

The Slovakian-Swiss dual citizen has signed a one-year deal with the Flughafenstädter and will thus stay in Kloten at least until 2021.

"With Juraj we get an excellent hockey player with a lot of experience and above-average skills," EHC Kloten's team manager Felix Hollenstein explains his choice. "He will definitely make us better and be a real leader on and off the ice."

Last season, Juraj Simek suited up 45 times for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. He scored nine goals and also added nine assists for a total of 18 points.
