With HC Lugano limiting their commitment and HC Biasca fulling pulling out of the project, the HCB Ticino Rockets have had some changes in the last few months. In an interview with the Corriere del Ticino, their president Davide Mottis is still optimistic about the future nonetheless. "We did our homework well and have a budget that, compared to the previous one, is essentially balanced," he states. There is also still hope that Biel will become part of the project.
As for the sport-related part, the Rockets hope to be able to announce their roster and coaching staff for the upcoming season in ten days. They have been waiting for Lugano's confirmation to provide players, which has also delayed the appointment of the coaching staff. It remains to be seen if Alex Reinhard will be kept around as head coach.
The future of the team-manager position (which will not be full-time) is also still unclear. Sébastien Reuille remains as the preferred candidate, he already held that job last season. "I would do anything to keep 'Séba', but it is not solely up to me," Mottis mentions.
