A Canadian instead of a Swede - Jeff Tomlinson has been named as successor for Per Hånberg as EHC Kloten's head coach. The 51-year-old was part of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for the last six seasons. He lead the Lakers from the Swiss League to the semifinal of the National League, in passing being responsible for the relegation of his new employer on the way there.

Tomlinson will be supported by Fabian Sutter - who has already been part of the coaching staff since January - and Tim Bertsche. The latter one will also work as goaltending coach.

On another note, Kloten has also extended the contract of Juraj Simek for one year. In his first season with them, the 33-year-old forward recorded ten goals and eight assists in 52 games. Dario Meyer, who has been with the club on loan from HC Davos since January, has been awarded a one-year deal.
