With their quest for a new stadium in Langenthal not moving forward, the club might look for a different location.

SC Langenthal's administrative board and their main shareholders have decided to pull out of the discussions regarding a new hockey stadium in their hometown. They state a political gridlock and no purposive push forward by the authorities. A new stadium would be the most important economic fundament for the club.

SC Langenthal's leadership is thus planning to draw up different options for the club's continued existence. Re-location would be a possibility, new ways of working with other clubs will be examined and even the discontinuation of professional play might be a consideration.

Until the end of 2022, various scenarios for SCL's future will be written up and presented at an extraordinary general assembly at the start of 2023.
