For the first time this season, Janett hit the ice after he had recovered from an injury he suffered during summer training. Good news for him, however, is bad news for Gianluca Zaetta: The contract of Janett's replacement is not going to be extended, the Thurgauer Zeitung writes.
As HC Thurgau has their goalie duo (Luis Janett and Bryan Rüegger) back, Zaetta will have to leave when his short-term contract expires at the end of November. As a backup for Bryan Rüegger, Zaetta only appeared in two games for the Lions, posting a .881 save percentage.
