Luca Sbisa still looking for a spot in the NHL

The 29-year-old trained with the Islanders and then was signed to a PTO. He made all cuts but the final one, likely because promising prospect Noah Dobson, 19, made the team. Sbisa already played for the New York Islanders last season but only got to suit up for them in nine games.
The defender played his last full NHL season in the 2016-17 season for the Vancouver Canucks. Luca Sbisa, who was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers, spent his entire career in the NHL.
