Jonas Siegenthaler assigned to the Hershey Bears

According to the Washington Post, Jonas Siegenthaler will not physically move to Hershey. In order to clear cap space, they sent Martin Fehervary down and placed Travis Boyd on waivers. Since Boyd will only clear waivers/be claimed by another team tomorrow at noon and his salary will only then come off the roster, they needed to send another player down.

Siegenthaler will thus likely be recalled by the Washington Capitals on Monday, as he is expected to play against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. The defenseman has appeared in three games for the Caps this season thus far.
