The Columbus Blue Jackets' goaltender has been called up from the Cleveland Monsters.

Elvis Merzlikins was sent down yesterday and played one game for the Monsters, stopping 28 of 29 shots. The AHL team won the game with 3-1. Aaron Portzline (The Athletic) already reported yesterday that Merzlikins might return to Columbus before the end of the week.

The former HC Lugano netminder has appeared in six games of the Columbus Blue Jackets, posting a .890 save percentage. He has yet to pick up a win in the NHL.
