Deciding not to play in North America this past season, Charles Hudon joined Lausanne HC. His NHL-rights, however, were still with the Montreal Canadiens. On July 1, that changed - he became a free agent. From July 28 onwards, the froward is free to join any team. According to DansLesCoulisses, It might just be the Habs' current opponents in the Stanley Cup final, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

As the source writes, Hudon's agent is in serious talks with the Bolts' general manager, Julien BriseBois.

In his time with Lausanne, the 27-year-old recorded 17 goals and 18 assists in 39 games, which was good for fifth amongst skaters on the Lions' roster.

As Hudon told Le Quotidien last week, he has his ideas about the coming season but did not want to reveal more until there was anything official. Overall, the Canadian has enjoyed his time in Switzerland and is happy to have come here.
