As the Chicago Blackhawks did not extend a qualifying offer to Pius Suter, he is about to hit the market when free agency opens tonight at 18:00 CET. His agent Georges Müller told Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun Times that Suter might nevertheless stay with the Hawks.
According to Chris Johnston, however, Pius Suter is not expected to sign with a team right away, but take his time to weigh his options:
In his first season in the NHL, Suter suited up in 55 regular season games with the Chicago Blackhawks and put up a total of 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists).
