A total of 20 players will take part in the Rookie Camp, one of them being Swiss defenseman Tobias Geisser, who spent the past season with EV Zug. The camp will be overseen by Scott Allen, head coach of the Hershey Bears, the Capitals' AHL affiliate. Following the Rookie Camp, the Capitals will open their 2021 Training Camp on September 23.
Tobias Geisser, 22, was drafted by the Washington Capitals as 120th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, he appeared in 63 games for EV Zug, in which he recorded 24 points (six goals).
