Spengler Cup

The Finnish club accepted HC Davos' invitation and will take part in the Spengler Cup 2019.

All the participants to the Spengler Cup 2019 are now known.

For TPS it will be the 3rd participation in Davos. In 2001 and 2002 the Finns took part in the traditional tournament under today's SC Bern head coach Kari Jalonen.The tenfold Finnish champion - the last success goes back to the 2009-10 season - , finished the championship in fourth place.TPS Turku will join HC Davos, Team Canada, HC Oceláři Třinec, HC Ambrì-Piotta and KHL's Salavat Yulaev Ufa as the sixth team participating this December in the prestigious tournament. All the participants for the 93rd edition are therefore now known.

"The illustrious participating teams make this year's Spengler Cup even more attractive than last year and will excite with suspenseful games," states Spengler Cup Sports Director, Fredi Pargätzi, looking forward to the 93rd Spengler Cup, which will be held in Davos from 26 to 31 December 2019.

The Torriani group will be composed by the Salavat Yulaev Ufa, HC Ambrì-Piotta, and TPS Turku, while in the Cattini group there will be HC Davos, Team Canada, and HC Oceláři Třinec. Standing-room tickets for the Spengler Cup 2019 can now be purchased, while seating tickets will be available from October.
